Claudio Macías is a journalist and experienced professional with a background in strategic communication for companies of different fields, mainly technology, mining and energy, as well as non-profit organizations. In corporate communications, he has broad experience in media relations, business storytelling, brand positioning, public affairs and stakeholder relationships, including local communities.
In 2001, Claudio co-founded BMR, a public relations agency specialized in tech companies, turning it into one of the main specialized consulting firms in the Chilean market. In that firm, he led the team as Communications Director. Clients included companies such as Cisco, Google, Canon, Global Crossing, Hitachi and ACTI (tech companies association), among others.
Claudio started his career as a reporter and then as a media editor specialized in technology.
He has complemented his profession as a lecturer, teaching undergraduate classes in journalism and public relations.
He has a Master´s degree in Strategic Communication from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a Diploma in Social Economy and Fair Trade from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado.
